Dog Nursery

Most people go on a holiday at least once a year, or go away for a weekend or even a couple of hours, and need someone to take care of their dog. Leaving your dog behind in a pension is not only very costly, but most people think it's rather 'unhomely' as well. Especially big pensions can't always provide that extra bit of personal attention most dogs need.

A couple of years ago, when the first puppies started to leave the nest, we offered people the possibility to bring their pups back to us when they went on a holiday or whenever they needed someone to take care of their dog for a short while. This evolved in us, occasionally, taking in other dogs as well.....kind of a nursery for dogs, if you please. Sometimes we do house/dog-sitting as well (well, Ellen does :) ).

We limit the number of dogs we have at the same time to 2 small dogs. This because this way we can make sure every dog gets the attention he or she needs. In general the dogs go along with our group of dogs, but if a dog has special needs we are happy to attend to those needs.

We even have some regular visitors:

                        Rami                                      Doudi

Rami is our little drama-queen, who, when she's over, loves to lay in a basket and watch everyone. Dodi is our Mister Nice, who managed to claim his own private space......next to my sister's bed. There's also Spooky, of whom we hope he'll be with us for many more years to come. Because of his old age (and sensitive eyes) he doesn't take well to pictures......and to fuss, so when he's over he gets his own private bench to retreat in whenever he pleases.

Every pet deserves a nice holiday as well!
